The Naval Air Systems Command, Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209) intends to award a noncompetitive, sole source contract to BAE Systems, 164 Totowa Road, Wayne, NJ 07474-0975 for production of Low Probability of Intercept Altimeters (LPIA) for use on various aircraft and rotary wing platforms, R/T-1805/APN, NSN 5999-01-481-3659, inclusive of variants; extended warranty and repair; engineering technical support; integrated logistics support; spare and repair parts; and associated data. The contract will be for a base-year ordering period with two (2) additional optional ordering periods of one-year each. Estimated quantities of 400 R/T’s are anticipated over the three-year period. Delivery is 12 months ARO with accelerated delivery schedules required for specific platforms. The RT-1805/APN was previously developed under a competitive contract that was awarded to BAE. As such BAE maintains the proprietary information required to provide and support the products to be obtained under this contract. BAE is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the R/T-1805/APN LPIA and is the only firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, and experience to perform this effort within the required time frame.
