The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Martin-Baker Aircraft Company, Ltd (MBA), Higher Denham, Middlesex, England for the Navy Aircrew Common Ejection Seat (NACES) requirements for FY07 through FY11 under a base contract plus four one-year options. Approximate quantities of the following will be included in this procurement: FY07, 175 seats, 284 thermal batteries, 140 pilots lower oxygen hoses; FY08, 136 seats, 276 thermal batteries, 140 pilots lower oxygen hoses, FY09, 80 seats, 276 thermal batteries, 140 pilots lower oxygen hoses; FY10, 85 seats, 108 thermal batteries, 140 pilots lower oxygen hoses; FY11, 45 seats, 58 thermal batteries, 70 pilots lower oxygen hoses. This sole source procurement will also include associated spare and repair parts, engineering, logistic support and technical data. MBA is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the NACES, and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience and technical data required to fill this need.
