The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source modification to contract N00019-02-C-3059 with Harris Corporation, Government Communications Systems Division, P.O. Box 37, Melbourne, FL 32902-0037. This modification will task the contractor to perform efforts toward production Lot 5 obsolescence redesign of Tactical Aircraft Moving MAp Capability (TAMMAC) components, which includes the Army DM-200 Digital Map System (DMS), Navy DMS and DVMC with Extension Housing. The redesign is necessary due to the obsolescence of certain key components in the systems that are no longer available. Harris Corporation is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the TAMMAC DMC, and is, therefore, the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment and experience to fulfill this requirement.
