AMCOM Research, Development, and Engineering Center (RDEC) Procurement Directorate, Redstone Arsenal Alabama, plans to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Purchase Order (PO) for the Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD). Authority cited: Statutory authority permitting other that full and open competition for this requirement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by paragraph 6.302-1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) entitled- Only one source or a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The existing unique design capability, engineering skills and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source required acquisition of the parts required from the approved source only. The approved source retains the necessary data, manufacturing knowledge, and or technical data that are not economically available to the government. The PO will be awarded to: Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main St., Stratford, CT 06614 or to Kearfott Guidance & Navigation Corporation, 2858 US Hwy 70W, Black Mountain NC 28711. The contractor will perform the Teardown, Test, and Evaluation (TT&E) of 3 Servo, Roll Trim, NSN1680-01-242-2067. After the TT&E is completed the contractor if authorized, will perform the Repair and Rebuild (R&R) effort. Even though this is a limited source requirement, all responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency.
