The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD has a SOLE SOURCE requirement for the following VH-3D and VH-60N peculiar avionics components for the Executive Mission VH-3D and VH-60N helicopters: A2 Cards: Part Number 13499ASSY676-2748-001, A5 Cards: Part Number 13499ASSY676-2741-006, A7 Cards: Part Number 13499ASSY676-2742-001, and A8 Cards: Part Number 13499ASSY676-2743-002. The government intends to contract on a sole source basis under Request for Quotation N00421-03-T-0128 with Rockwell Collins, Inc., 400 Collins Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498-0001. Rockwell Collins, Inc. is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of this peculiar communication and navigation equipment utilized on the VH-3D/VH-60N. This procurement is being processed in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Procurement will be made via a DPAS DX-A1 rated government purchase order, which will incorporate provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2003-01 and DFARS DCN 20030214. The applicable NAICS code is 334220 and the applicable FSC code is J016.
