Pursuant to FAR Part 13.5, this synopsis provides notice of FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia’s intent to solicit a proposal to purchase, on a sole source basis, with Jeppesen Sanderson, Inc; 55 Inverness Drive East, Englewood, CO 80122-5498; for the items listed below. The items are of commercial type and are: a one-year subscription to Jeppesen JeppView Chart-Suite worldwide charting solution software, Jeppesen Chart-Suite Website, as well as the Boeing Laptop Tool for the C-40 aircraft. There will also be options to renew the subscriptions to these items for four additional years. These items will be used to support the Commander, Naval Reserve Force, Fleet Logistics Support Wing and Marine Forces Reserve, Fourth Marine Aircraft Wing. Jeppesen Sanderson, Inc., is the only known firm that can provide items that will be fully interoperable, interchangeable, and compatible with existing charting systems. This procurement will use the authority of Sec. 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
