The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA has a requirement for DOCKSIDE repairs. This acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the NOAA Ship Gordon Gunter, a 224 foot, 43 ft beam (molded); propulsion â diesel electric twin screw, 4 ea. MDGâs Caterpillar D398B diesel engine driven 600 kW, 600 volt, 60 Hz. AC generators, and 2 ea. 800 HP @ 185 RPM direct-connected DC motors, and 1 ea. 550 HP Bow Thruster motor @ 1200 RPM; 450 VAC, 60 Hz, 3 phase, 800 Amp Service; crew size - 19. Vessel's homeport is Pascagoula, MS. All work will be performed at vesselâs homeport. The performance period will be 30 calendar days with a start date on or about December 1, 2004 and shall be completed on or before December 30, 2004. Basic contract items include but are not limited to Main deck preservation and piping renewal; Interior deck refurbishments; weather tight door installations; searchlight installations; macerator pump overhauls; gas drum maintenance; battery box replacements; engine room supply air intake plenum modifications; and optional items for stateroom upgrades; hiab 450 crane maintenance; and alfa-laval evaporator maintenance. All work shall be performed in accordance with detailed specifications to be provided with the solicitation. Vessel will be available for inspection October 4th thru October 6th, 2004 at Gulf Marine Support Facility 151 Watts Ave Pascagoula, MS.
