Norfolk Ship Support Activity, PO Box 215, Portsmouth, VA, 23705-0215, is seeking to identify sources to accomplish specific requirements described herein in: Provide the necessary management, material support services, labor, supplies, facilities, and equipment necessary to accomplish insulation and lagging onboard U.S. Navy vessels and other military type vessels including submarines. Work may include preliminary inspection of lagging and insulation and removal of asbestos lagging and insulation. Additionally, removal and installation of galley equipment steam and hot water pipe insulation and lagging, weather deck hot piping, hot piping or tubing systems lagging and insulation, refrigerant insulation, air conditioning/refrigeration plant equipment insulation, bulkhead/overhead, thermal insulation for hot machinery and equipment, etc. The NAICS code is 336611, Shipbuilding and Repair. This will be a multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, firm fixed price contract for a base year with four one-year options. Award will be based on best value procurement utilizing technical, past performance and price as evaluation factors. Performance of work will be primarily on vessels located in a 50-mile radius of NSSA, Portsmouth, VA as specified on each individual task order, but may be accomplished worldwide. This procurement is not restricted to MSRA/ABR contractors. This is a follow-on procurement. The former contract number was N40025-09-D-9003. Sources are also requested to identify any on-going Government contract vehicles they may have for the same or similar work.
