The United States Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000 has a proposed a brand name acquisition to provide a procure a quantity of one (1) Koheras ADJUSTIK E15 Non-PM FM 40mW 1550 and one (1) 12nm tunable laser Part Number-K822-125-002. The laser also comes standard with one (1) BOOSTIK Amplifier E152W 1550 and one (1) 12nm FC/APC, Part Number - K532-015-000.

The Government intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm fixed price contract to NKT Photonics, Inc. 3514 N. Vancouver Ave., Suite 310, Portland OR 97227.  The period of performance shall be fourteen (14) weeks from award. The proposed sole source (brand name) acquisition will utilize the authority under Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, 41 U.S.C. 190 as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1).

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government. The NAICS code for this effort is 334516 and the small business sized standard is 1,000 employees.
