Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex intends to contract for one CVN flight deck safety net padding. Contractor shall remove existing pads. Fabricate and install new padding for LSO Safety Nets and pipe framing shall in accordance with measurements and samples taken at the time of shipcheck. The new pieces of the main pad are to be manufactured from HH-P-151 C12 rubber as a base, built-up with MIL-R-290092L 4 inch sponge and covered with HH-P-151 rubber. NAVSEA Dwg. 53711-600-4735562, REV B will be used for the purpose reference. Installation of new pads must be accomplished no later than, 29 April 2005. The government will provide a JLG and rigging necessary to assist contractor in removal/installation of padding. Prospective contractor shall be required to attend a mandatory site Visit. Tentative date of visit is 6 January 2005. Contractor personnel accessing the ship must posses United States Citizenship.
