The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue Request for Proposal N00024-10-R-2237 on a sole source basis to Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (San Diego, CA) for Integrated Shipboard Electronics (ISE) design, integration, production, installation, testing, and logistics for one LPD 17 Class Amphibious Transport Dock Ship (LPD 26) and an option for another LPD 17 Class Amphibious Transport Dock Ship (LPD 27). Raytheon, as the original designer, is the only source with the requisite knowledge and experience required for the ISE efforts for LPD 17 Class Ships electronic systems. This notification is issued for subcontracting purposes only.
