NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS: Contact City of Thomasville for complete and unabbreviated Invitation to Bid. Below is an abbreviated version. Sealed bids for the City of Thomasville’s 2021 SPLOST-LMIG St. Improvements project will be received until 10 AM, May 20, 2021 at the City Engineers Office, 411 W. Jackson St. Thomasville, GA 31792, for public opening. No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for request of bids for a period of 60 days. Bidder shall be a certified Ga Dept of Transportation contractor and will furnish all materials, labor, equipment and perform all work required to complete the project. This project consists of improvements to multiple streets. These improvements include resurfacing, curb and gutter, & storm water improvements. The work to be done for this project involves road resurfacing and storm water drainage. It does not require a licensed utility contractor to submit a bid. A complete set of plans, specs,& bid documents may be viewed & obtained at the City Engineers Office, 411 W. Jackson St, P.O. Box 1540, Thomasville, Ga 31799, upon payment of $100. Extra sets are $50.00 ea. No refunds will be made. Proposals will not be considered by Owner unless Bidder is on record as purchasing and receiving complete Bid Documents. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the Bid. If awarded the Contract, bidder will submit separate Payment and Performance Bond each for 100% of the Contract amount. Bids must be plainly marked “2021 SPLOST–LMIG STREET IMPROVEMENTS” and must be delivered before the time specified. The City of Thomasville, Ga, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, to re-advertise, and/or to award the contract in the best interest of the City.
