2024 LMIG Resurfacing and Restriping Road Project NO VALUE IFB24-051 INVITATION FOR BID This is an invitation to submit a bid to the Glynn County Board of Commissioners for: This is an invitation to submit a bid to Glynn County for the resurfacing and restriping of streets on mainland Glynn County and on Saint Simons Island, Georgia, indicated herein. The work to be performed under this contract consists of the resurfacing and restriping of streets on mainland Glynn County and on Saint Simons Island. The project will require some patching / pothole work that will consist generally of traffic control, existing base, subgrade and paving removal and replacement, and resurfacing of the affected area. The resurfacing work is generally straightforward regarding the general requirements such as traffic control, clipping, milling, sweeping, tack, leveling, resurfacing, and restriping. This project will also include some Asphalt longitudinal Lane widening and curb construction. Each road has its own unique requirements which are listed in the itemization for each location. All work shall be in accordance with the Technical Specifications, Special Provisions and the construction drawings. All material shall conform to the specifications contained in the Technical Specifications Sealed bids will be accepted and time stamped electronically via the County's e-procurement Portal ("Portal") until 1:30 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. At 2:00 PM the bids will be opened in conference room 224 located on the 2nd floor of the Harold Pate Building located at 1725 Reynolds Street and will be publicly read. Additionally, the bid opening will be streamed live on the County's YouTube Channel. Instructions for preparation and submission of a bid-proposal are contained in this packet. Bids must be typed or printed in ink. Bids submitted for this invitation must include the "Bidders Response Schedule" and be returned online via the Portal. Bids may not be considered unless so received. There will be a Non-Mandatory pre-bid meeting for this project held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at Public Works Grady Conference Room 4145 Norwich Street Ext Brunswick Ga 31520. Any questions and /or misunderstandings that may arise from this invitation shall be submitted in writing via the e-Procurement Portal no later than Friday, May 17, 2024. All Questions and Answers submitted will be posted to the website no later than Wednesday, May 22, 2024. All questions are required to be submitted in written form. Answers to questions submitted that materially change the conditions and specifications of this invitation for bid will be promulgated to all addressees as an addendum. Any discussions or documents will be considered non-binding unless incorporated and promulgated in an addendum. All contact concerning this solicitation shall be made through the Procurement Officer. Bidders shall not contact County employees, Department Heads, Evaluation Committee Members or Elected Officials with questions or any other concerns about the solicitation.
