Village of Northville Third Street Water Distribution Improvement Project INVITATION TO BID VILLAGE OF NORTHVILLE, NEW YORK THIRD STREET WATER DISTRIBUTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Sealed Bids will be received at the Village Office, 412 S. Main Street, Northville, NY, 12134, until 11:00 AM time on June 12, 2024, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud for: The installation of approximately 1,900 feet of ductile iron watermain including new water services, valves, fittings, hydrants, and other appurtenances and other work as shown in the Contract Documents. The Project shall be fully completed on or before October 31, 2024. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids will be received on an itemized unit price basis. Bids should not include sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. Bids received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Complete sets of Bidding and Contract Documents, in electronic format, may be obtained at no charge from the Engineer, C.T. Male Associates, Engineering, Surveying, Architecture, Landscape Architecture & Geology, D.P.C., via Camelot Print and Copy Center. Contract documents obtained from other sources may not be accurate or may not contain addenda that may have been issued. Costs for sets of printed documents shall be the responsibility of the Bidder. If requested, documents will be sent by UPS Ground delivery at the non-refundable cost of $10.00 per set for postage and handling. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Bidders on this work shall pay the greater of NYS or federal wage rates prevailing at the time for each classification of work.
