The Lake County Forest Preserve District is seeking one or more Vendors to perform tree protection fencing removals in 2024. Potential bidders may submit bids for one or both project locations. Owner intends to award each project individually, to the lowest responsible bidder; however, depending on bid amounts, the District may not award all projects, due to budgetary constraints. The District regularly plants native trees and shrubs to restore and enhance degraded areas. When trees and shrubs are installed, light-duty fencing materials are installed around these plantings to protect the newly planted material from damage and/or herbivory. After time, plants become well-established and the protective fencing is no longer required. The work of this project includes all labor, equipment and materials necessary to remove the tree protection fencing from the planted material and off-site disposal. Please follow the steps in the documents to upload your electronic submission. Late bids will not be accepted.
