The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, Emerging Technologies (ACC-NJ-ET), Benet Laboratories, Watervliet Arsenal, NY intends to award a sole source contract to BAE System Land and Armaments L.P., 1100 Blairs Road, York PA, 17408. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 332510 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Government plans to acquire up to eighty-four (84) Automatic Fire Extinguishing System (AFES) Kits for the USMC M88A2 Recovery Vehicle. In addition to the AFES kits the USMC desires 3 sets of spares. The requirement is for kits and spares only and no installation services are required. Delivery of the kits and spares are 12 months after contract date of award. AUTHORITY: This acquisition is being conducted using other than full and open competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(B), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Responsible offerors may submit a capability statement, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Government; but this notice of intent, is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government.
