Project Description/Scope of Work: • Project location address – 7960 Johnson St, Pembroke Pines FL 33024 • 18 MGD water treatment plant with approximately 600’ of 30” DIP process piping connecting 4 treatment units. • Approximately 520’ of pipe is horizontal, approximately 80’ vertical • Lime deposits accumulated and calcified in the process pipe and on valves resulting in hydraulic restrictions • Traditional jetting was not successful in removing the accumulations • ROV’s and divers were utilized to inspect the condition of the pipes • High pressure (up to 20,000 psi@20gpm) milling robot and pump unit was successful in descaling the interior of the pipe • Work was conducted with plant fully operational, however, valves have since been installed to allow for isolation of certain sections of pipe • Debris removal was achieved through a modified air-lift suction system Primary task is to: 1. Enter and Inspect the pipes 2. Provide video footage 3. Descale any accumulated material found inside pipes 4. Remove debris prior to material interfering with plant filter operation Please see map attached with the pipe in question highlighted in yellow.
