The ILD is a complex mechanical locking system designed primarily for Department of Defense use. Manufacture of this ILD will require strong capability in the areas of precision metal machining of stainless and aluminum, dimensional inspection of machined parts, complex mechanical assembly, high quality welding of metal components, etc. First Article and production lot inspection acceptance will be required. Inspection plans, reports and production status reports are also required.
