ACC AMIC/PKA intends to make a sole source award to Remotec, Inc. in support of the Air Combat Command. ACC/A7XE requires upgrades for its MK6 robotic fleet. A program is in place to upgrade the current MK6 robotic platform to the new standard F6A. Remotec, Inc., the original manufacturer of the robots, is the only company approved to perform the required upgrades. The source of the statutory authority permitting this acquisition method is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as stated in FAR 6.302-1.
