This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number assigned for this request for proposal, negotiate procurement is FN1093-02. This solicitation is issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and proposals may be downloaded from UNICOR.GOV web page. The announcement constitutes the solicitation and offers are being requested. The solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-02. The North American Industry Classification Code is 33321. This is an ALL or NONE requirement. The requested line items are as follows: Item 0001 - Weeke BP-120K Boring Machine. Quantity: 1 each. Item 0002 ? Altendorf F45 3800 Horizontal Sliding Panel Saw. Quantity: 1 each. These are Brand Name or Equal Items.Offeror is required to provide descriptive literature, brand name, make and model number of the machine quoting on. Request for the Salient Characteristics for these machines are to be requested in writing to the Contracting Officer by facsimile. Delivery, inspection and acceptance will occur at the FOB Destination point: Federal Correctional Institution Forrest City, 779 SFC 806, Forrest City, AR 72335. Delivery is no later than 45 calendar days after the receipt of each delivery order. FAR provision at 52.212- 1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Item applies to this acquisition; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offers may be submitted on Standard Form (SF) 1449 or letterhead stationary and shall indicate the solicitation number, closing date and time, name, address, and telephone number of the offeror. This will be a firm-fixed price, negotiated contract. The period of performance is 45 days. Award may be made with/without discussions to responsive/responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, considering specification, past performance, price and price related factors. Offeror must hold prices firm for not less than 60 days from the closing date. Any proposal that fails to furnish the required representations and certifications, or which rejects or changes any terms and conditions, may be rejected and excluded from consideration.
