BROOM CASSETTES. 1) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED.2) Solicitation F65501-02-R-A018 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-07. 4) This solicitation is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 336399; Size standard: 750 employees. 5) ITEM (S): Broom Cassettes for an M-B Companies Model 4600 Runway Broom. Quantity/Unit of Issue: 32 Sets (SE). 6) DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS: A wire cassette system made by Sweeper Brush, Inc. Part #CW265224 or equal. The wire cassette system is designed for use with MB Part #101-127637, Core Length: 106" (x2), Core Diameter: 46", No. of Grooves:28. Each set to consist of: 224 cassette bars 26.500". Each bar will contain 15 tufts. Each tuft contains 140 wires locked in the center by a .156" high carbon steel locking pin giving each tuft 280 wire ends. Total length of the tuft is 12.750" +/-.0625? Wire Specification: .018" dia. high carbon grade "C" brush wire, tensile strength 345,000 PSI. Cassette bar made of high-density co-polypropylene. 7) DELIVERY: FOB DESTINATION to Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. Delivery must be accomplished NLT 2 Oct 2002.
