Rock Island Arsenal-Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC) is conducting market research to locate manufacturers/suppliers of plastic pallets. Request full-size samples of plastic pallets that meet the following requirements 1) 48" wide x 40" deep; 2) 4.5"-6.5" high; 3) 2" minimum fork opening; 4) plastic or composite material; 5) slip resistant surface; 6) dynamic load capacity of at least 1,000 lbs; 7) four-way fork entry; 8) Rackable on crossbar supported pallet rack. Information to be provided with the pallets by potential contractors should include catalog description, price sheet including any quantity discounts. Interested vendors should contact Bette Dennison ([email protected]) for shipping information and regarding any costs associated with supplying a pallet. The Government anticipates receiving 15 samples for this sources sought, however, at its discretion may accept additional pallets. The Government will not accept duplicate manufacture and model pallets, therefore, vendors contacting Ms. Dennison to provide sample pallets must provide manufacturer and model. Pallets and information must be received by 31 January 2011. Offerors who do not submit the required pallet and information may not be considered for the competitive solicitation. It is anticipated that after review of all submitted pallets competition will be held among all acceptable pallets for a 5-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.
