This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. Firm, fixed-price offers are requested under Request for Quotations (RFQ) solicitation #RAQ053032. This document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-05. This solicitation is set-aside 100% for small business. The NAICS code is 332212. The business size standard is 500 employees. (1) REQUIREMENT: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) has a requirement for 300 each smooth edge crash axes, 300 each serrated edge crash axes, for use in wildland fire suppression work. (2) SPECIFICATION: Both types of axes shall be 15 inches long and made of one-piece drop-forged steel. Axes shall have a rubber insulated handle section to withstand 20,000 volts. Axes may be Gemtor model D42 and D56 or equal.
