THE ORIGINAL PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, DATED 6 MARCH 2003, AND MODIFICATION NUMBER 0001 TO THIS NOTICE, DATED 13 MARCH 2003, ARE HEREBY DELETED AND SUPERSEDED BY THE FOLLOWING NOTICE: The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center intends to award a requirements-type contract, consisting of one base year and four option years, for contractor services to store, recertify, and direct ship Coast Guard 25-man SOLAS A life rafts. These services shall be performed in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 160.151-37 through 160.151-57. Services shall require the contractor to provide all labor, materials, and equipment, as needed. The Contractor shall also be required to provide storage of six life rafts at their facility at any given time during the contract period. Upon notification from the Government, the contractor shall inspect each raft and replace all expired or damaged items found in each equipment pack as identified in the referenced CFR parts, and ship the raft to its appointed destination. Services MUST be completed within 48 hours after receiving each individual delivery order. Delivery shall be F.O.B. origin and the Government shall bear all costs for transportation. Interested sources must be a Coast Guard certified life raft service facility and shall be required to provide a copy of their certification with their quotation. Interested sources must also be an authorized ISSI repair facility. This solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) package shall be posted on FedBizOpps at www.eps.gov and shall be available on or about 17 March 2003. Closing date for receipts of quotations shall be 24 March 2003. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the Agency.
