The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Satellite Camp Prison intends to award a construction contact. The Contractor will perform all work required to remove the existing Muffin Monster and install the new Auger Monster. This work will include, but is not limited to, the following: modify existing comminutor structure to accommodate the new unit, install the new Auger Monster, provide new water service for unit and provide bypass pumping as required. All supplies, materials, tools and equipment will be provided by the Contractor. The services provided will be consistent with industry standards and with policy required by the Bureau of Prisons (BOP.) The services will be monitored by a representative of the Facilities Department. The site will be available for these services five (5) days a week, Monday through Friday, from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. The work will continue until the Auger Monster installation has been completed, not to exceed 30 days. Any deviations from this schedule must be approved by the Contracting Officer?s Technical Representative (COTR) prior to any changes. The Contractor will be responsible for proper tool and equipment control and sanitation of the assigned area. The Contractor will report to work at the designated time and follow all rules related to contract staff and security of the institution. The Contractor will be permitted to wear jeans on the Federal Satellite Camp Prison; green-color clothing will not be allowed. The clothes will be proper and suitable for the services that are being provided. The site visit will be conducted on Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at the hour of 1:00 p.m. The solicitation will be available on or after March 10, 2003, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities web site. http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
