The subject requirement is for acquisition of one (1) NSN with various end items. This proposed procurement includes items within the Federal Supply Class 4720. See Note(s): 1, 9 and 26. The requirement will result in an award of an Indefinite Quantity Contract for which delivery orders may be placed for one (1) year. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on/or about September 15, 2006 at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp. The scope of this contract includes the acquisitioning for a code and part-number item. This signifies that the Government has no rights to the technical data. No data is available. Alternate offerors are required to provide a complete data package including data for tha approved part and the alternate part offered for evaluation. The AMSC code implies that parts procured under this NSN are candidates for full and open competition. The delivery for this acquisition will be on an FOB destination basis. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base year plus option years) shall not exceed five (5) years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery and past performance evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This solicititation will be issued as unrestricted.
