It is the intent of the 49 Contracting Squadron, Holloman AFB, NM to solicit and award to Universal Fabric Structures, 2200 Kumry Road, Quakertown, PA 18951,nder statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), set forth in FAR 6.302-1(d)(2), titled, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Governmenbt intends to acquire replacement parts for dome shelters using FAR Part 12, Federal Supply Class if 5580 NAICS is 339999. Products to be ordered are replacement parts for existing portable shelter manufactured by Universal Fabric Structures. It would take substantial duplication of time and money for another company to offer a compatible product that would meet these requirements. These costs are not expected to be recovered through competition. Interested firms may submit their capabilities and qualification to provide replacement parts manufactured by Universal Fabric Structure to the identified point of contact not later than 28 March 2005, 3:00 PM local time. Such capablilities and qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
