UNICOR intends to enter into a five year firm fixed price requirements type contract for particleboard to be delivered fob destination FCC Coleman, FL, FCI Mckean, Pa, FCC Allenwood, Pa , FCI Forrest City, AR, FCI Sheridan, OR and FCI Ashland, KY. The solicitation number is FN1223-05 and this solicitation is issued as an request for proposal (RFP). All particleboard is to beM-2. Delivery is 30 days for initial delivery order to each factory location and 14 days after receipt of each subsequent delivery order from each factory location. Offerors will be required to maintain a consignment inventory at UNICOR’s factory location. Consignment levels will be determined by each factory location. The minimum and maximum delivery order quantity will be listed in solicitation document. Four (4) samples of 12”x12” shall be sent to the Product Support Center (PSC), 9595 West Quincy Avenue, Littleton, CO 80123, ATTN: Doug Gesner. Samples must be received by the offer closing date and time for offer to be considered for award. Please provide your company name and solicitation number on your sample. This is a full and open competitive request for proposal. Offerors are advised that the government intends to evaluate offers and award on an all or none basis. One award will be made for all factories. Offerors shall submit signed and dated offers to the Office Furniture Group, 320 First Street NW, 400 building, 7th floor, Washington, DC 20534, Attn: Bid Custodian. This information shall be displayed on the outside of the envelope with the solicitation number and offer closing date. Fax proposals are accepted at 202-353-7794, attn: bid custodian, the fax cover sheet shall reference the solicitation number and offer closing date and time. All offerors must acknowledgment all amendments. Offers received after the exact time and date specified will not be considered. The government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the best value to the government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate proposals: ability to provide sample that meets specification, past performance and price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. The solicitation will be available on UNICOR’s website at www.unicor.gov and eps.gov on or about March 18, 2005. No copies of the solicitation will be mailed. All responsible offerors may submit an offer which will be considered.
