This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, Q5120065224, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The National Park Service intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract. Contractor shall deliver 8000 tons of Base Rock, Department of Transportation Standards (Section 911) between May 15, 2006 and July 31, 2006. Base Rock will be delivered to the west end of Loop Road located at Monroe Station and stockpile at various locations 3 - 14 miles down loop road as needed. Loop Road is located approximately 44 miles east of Naples, FL on US 41 and approximately 40 miles West of Miami on US 41. All rock shall be delivered on Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. All responsible sources shall quote per ton which shall be considered if timely received. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. This is a Commercial Item Acquisition, FAR Part 12 applies. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-07. The NAICS is 213321, the size standard is 500 employees and is set aside for small business.
