In accordance with 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 and DFARS 206.302-1, the government intends to do a sole source procurement of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene panel assemblies from Polymer Industries. The panels shall be Polyslick XL Crosslinked Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene or an approved equal with a coefficient of thermal expansion less than or equal to 0.00004 in/in/deg F and be suitable for UV-Exposed applications. The UHMW panel assemblies will consist of 2 in. thick and 4 in. thick panels drilled, counter sunk, chamfered, and bolted together per USACE design and specifications. The panels shall be delivered to Lock & Dam 52 to be later installed on the Primary Chamber Upper Guide Wall by the Louisville Repair Station.
