This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of road-base rock, a commercial item, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17. Quotations are being requested via this notice only. A written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation/Request for Quotations (RFQ) number is Q853608R003. The acquisition is reserved exclusively for small business concerns. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System Code is 212319 and the size standard is 500 employees or less. This acquisition is to furnish approximately 2010 tons of 1-1/2" aggregate base Rock, similar to State Spec Class II. Delivery shall be FOB Destination via type of truck preferred by vendor, with 1/3 of rock delivered within 30 days, 1/3 within 90 days and remaining 1/3 within 120 days. Delivery location is the Roads and Trails yard located at Park Headquarters at 1 Bear Valley Road, Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County, CA. Deliveries can be made between 6:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday. Interested parties should visit the site as needed to be aware of staging, transfering, turn-around and passing space limitations. Interested parties shall submit a quotation based on a unit price. The Government reserves the right to adjust the total tonnage ordered based on availability of funding at the time of award. A breakdown of quantity discounts shall be provided with the quotation, if applicable.
