Thisprocurement is for the purchase of AN/PSC-5D multi-band/multi-missioncommunication terminals. The AN/PSC-5D radio, manufactured by Raytheon iscurrently fielded by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) to meet therequirement for a JITC certified Integrated Waveform (IW) compatible UHFSATCOM radio system. The AN/PSC-5D is currently the only radio with a clearIW upgrade path with set milestones and the ability to be upgraded bytechnicians in the field via firmware to new operating standards to meet theUSCG's requirement for IW.
