DLA Land at Aberdeen anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about September 8, 2015 for a five (5) year, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract, with an estimated maximum contract value of $8,703,808. The proposed action is for the acquisition of the Battery Compartment, NSN: 5855-01-523-4058, which is a component of the AN/PVS-14, Monocular Night Vision Device. This item provides power to the AN/PVS-14 through a single AA battery and contains two switches for operator control of the device; a high light cutoff and an infrared light source.

The estimated annual quantity required by the Government is 15,000 per year, over the 5 year contract.

The Government possesses detailed drawings for the Battery Compartment and a performance specification for the AN/PVS-14. This acquisition will be set-aside for small business. Based on market research, this item is manufactured for military use only and is not commercial; therefore, FAR Part 15 will apply to this acquisition.
