The United States Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) is planning the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the acquisition of P/O INTERROGATOR SET-compliant with the TPX-46 IFF SYSTEM. The government intends procurement through a s ole source acquisition to BAE Systems (BAE), One Hazeltine Way, Greenlawn, New York 11740-1606, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. BAE Systems is the only source capable of meeting the Governm ent's requirements. No other contractor possesses the combination of technical requirements and specialized test knowledge and test equipment required to satisfy the systems specification for the AN/TPX-46 Interrogator. This acquisition will be for the f ollowing seven different prime components of the P/O INTERROGATOR SET: 10 Electronic Cases (National Stock Number (NSN) 5895-00-165-1183), 15 Switch Assemblies (NSN 5930-01-112-0157), 5 Radome Subassemblies (NSN 5895-00-006-9745), 50 Electronic Amplifiers (NSN 5895-00-238-4660), 15 Radio Receivers (NSN 5895-01-350-1797), 2 Radio Frequency (RF) Isolators (NSN 5985-00-002-5002), and 5 Synchro Assemblies (NSN 5995-00-005-5215). Firm-fixed price is the anticipated contract type for this acquisition.
