This is to inform you that there are two versions of the White Paper Request posted 26 Nov 02 on the Internet. One version contains nine areas of information requested for white paper submissions and the other version requests three. Either format of submitting will be accepted, although we would prefer that only the three areas be submitted. The three areas are as follows: 1) topics for additional study on KG-30 Family to benefit the Government; 2) design/technical approaches to include recommendations for use of either the GFE Programmable Embedded INFOSEC Product (PEIP) II or other commercially available crypto core; variations of upgraded equipment and life-cycle cost reduction approaches; approach for key management architecture; technique for handling multiple algorithms simultaneously; approach to interfacing with legacy systems; 3) program management challenges and solutions that address innovative management approaches, acquisition strategy, and schedule (major milestones and equipment delivery dates) to achieve technical requirements and meet aggressive user need dates; potential cost drivers and strategies to optimize cost for the Government; program risk areas; required GFE/GFI and estimated need dates; any additional information useful in achieving program success.
