The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Digital Receiver Technology (DRT), Germantown, MD for over-the-aire intercept/interrogation equipment. Due to the diversity of frequencies and the number of protocols/standards currently in use by wireless service providers, it is imperative that a wireless surveillance platform have the capability of interfacing with various formats simultaneously. These protocols include AMPS/TDMA, IS95 CDMA, TACS/ETACS, pagers, GRPS and DECT. This is not a request for proposal. Digital Receiver Technology, Inc. is deemed the only responsible source capable of producing a passive standalone platform capable of multiple/simultaneous wireless communication intercepts. A justification for other than full and open competition is on file. No solicitation documents are available and requests for such will not be acknowledged. If one is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. The determination to open competition is solely within the discetion of the Government. No telephone inquires will be accepted.
