The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) China Lake, CA intends to enter into negotiations for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract on an other than full and open competition basis with ICX-Technologies, Inc. 2100 Crystal Dr. STE 650, Arlington, VA 22202-3784 for Hardware and Test Support for the Air Force Sense and Avoid Flight Test (SAAFT) program. The SAAFT Program will demonstrate a prototype autonomous Sense and Avoid (SAA) system for eventual deployment on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). The SAAFT program is divided into three rounds of development and testing: Round 1 - Characterization of the performance of various sensors. Round 2 - Integration of the individual sensors into a Multiple Intruder Autonomous Avoidance (MIAA) program sensor suite. Round 3 - Demonstration of autonomous avoidance of multiple intruders using the sensor suite.
