NUWC Division Keyport is hereby soliciting information and comments from industry as part of the market research process for the procurement of a Multibeam Echo Sounder intended primarily for shallow water harbor, lake and river survey with capabilities up to 500 meters depth. This is not a request for proposal and a contract will not be made from this sources sought. All information will be kept confidential and will not be disseminated to the public. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response to this announcement. Interested vendors should provide specifications and product literature addressing whether the following requirements can be met. Multibeam Echo Sounder Requirements: - 150khz to 300khz - Minimum 120 degree swath - Equidistant beam spacing preferred - 0 to 500 meter depth range preferred with 0 to 200 meter mandatory (Depth is operational survey depths not max NADIR depth. Include swath width at max depth claimed). - Built in GPS (desired) - Built in Motion Reference Unit (MRU)(desired) - Built in Heading Reference (GPS or other)(desired) - Integrated Sound Velocity Probe (desired) - Must include transducer, interface box (deck box), operational software and all cables. Post processing software not required. - All components must be one man portable. Unit must be readily installable (pole mounted or otherwise) on small boats (down to 22').
