Percutaneous Antenne: This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Order to Vertebrate Systems, Columbia, MO. The requirement is for Forty (40) implantable percutaneous antenna matching the following salient characteristics.
To the knowledge of the USGS, Vertebrate Systems the only source capable of meeting all the described requirements below.
At a minimum, the antenna must be:
Approximate dimensions: 47 x 25 x 25 (mm L x W x H)
Mass: <= 32g
Non-ìtoxic, non-reactive resin coating on body
Antenna: Stainless steel; 9-11 cm for percutaneous implant
Positioning system: Global Positioning System (GPS)
Communications: industry standard general packet radio service (GPRS) and global system for mobile (GSM). VHF not required.
Battery life: 9 months at 24 locations/day
Interface: (1) device will be reprogrammable after deployment via online interface, (2) capable of operating on scheduled intervals that can be altered via online interface after deployment, (3) geo-fencing (the ability for the device to automatically alter data collection based on geographic regions), (4) Device must be capable of collecting location data at frequencies ranging from 5 minutes to 24 hours.
All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Potential sources who can meet the described requirements must provide evidence of development and deployment of like items. No exceptions. Failure to provide this information may result in a ÿnon-responsiveÿ quote and removal from award consideration. Estimated award date is 08/15/2018.
