This synopsis provides notice of the Government?s intent to solicit a proposal on a sole source basis with REDCOM Laboratories, Inc., One Redcom Center, Victor, NY 14504-0950. The contract type is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price commercial type contract. The Contract Line Item Numbers and descriptions are: CLIN 0001 Reconfigure one (1) Redcom IGX-C Tactical Communications Package (TCP) from STU-III to four (4) STE-R (5 ea); CLIN 0002 Redcom IGX-C STE-R Conference Bridge (1 ea); CLIN 0003 Spares for the reconfigured Redcom IGX-C TCP (1 ea); CLIN 0004 Spares for the Redcom IGX-C Conference Bridge (1 ea); plus shipping charges, if any. This equipment will be used to upgrade an existing Redcom communications system. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, REDCOM is the only known source capable of satisfying the Government?s minimum requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible interested parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 08 February 2008, 1600 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
