SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston intends to issue a sole source contract to Thales Mackay Radio, Inc., 5249 Capital Blvd. Raleigh, NC, 27661-1457 for a rack-mountable dual-HF transceiver system that offers a modular design permitting quick and inexpensively replaceable swappable components. The components to be acquired are the TMR 8092 Dual Receiver/Exciter and TMR 6490 Control Unit, TMR 1096 125W Power Amplifier, TMR 4095 125W Antenna Coupler, TMR 1090 1kW Linear Power Amplifier, PC 6000 Control software, Rack Slide kit, LPA cables, and equipment spares. The procured equipment must: (1) provide a Digital Signal Processing (DSP), based dual receiver/exciter whose receive frequency range covers 10 kHz to 29.999999 MHz frequency range, both tunable in 1 Hz increments; (2) have available operating modes that include Upper Side Band (USB), Lower Side Band (LSB), Single Side Band (SSB), Amplitude Modulated (AM), Automatic Message Exchange (AME), Continuous Wave (CW), and LINK 11 Frequency Shift Keys (FSK); (3) be computer controlled or controlled locally by a control unit; (4) provide dual redundant HF communications with Link-11 (FSK) data communication capability. All equipment (radio, exciter, low and high power amplifiers, etc.) must be rack mountable in two (2) ECS transit cargo cases (23"Wx23"Wx35"D).
