The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, CA intends to award a firm fixed price contract to ICS Electronics Division of Systems West Inc., 7034 Commerce Circle, Pleasanton, CA on a sole source basis. The purpose of this action is to procure 140 VXI Kits (0132294) manufactured by ICS Electronics. These kits will be used in the Submarine Low Frequency/Very Low Frequency VME Bus Receiving (SLVR) set. The sole source action is based on the capability of the VXI Kits to fit within the configuration controls of the current space environment and meet the operational requirements established for the SLVR. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.3020-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 334515 and the Size Standard is 500. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items.
