The U. S. Army Joint Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle Management Command,Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, in support of the Product Manager, Mortar Systems, is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for the purchase of 5500 Series Rugged Personal Digital Assistant (R-PDA-5500) Accessories to support the U.S. Armys R-PDA-57s that have been purchased under the U.S. Armys CHS-3 contract. Each of the R-PDA-57s will be augmented with cables and other accessories. The combination of the R-PDA-57 and accessories is denoted as the M32, Lightweight Handheld Mortar Ballistic Computer (LHMBC).

This Sources Sought / Market Survey is being used to seek sources capable of producing R-PDA-57 accessories currently available through Tallahassee Technologies, Inc or an acceptable equivalent. Recommendations require Government approval prior to implementation.
The LHMBC will provide the primary means by which dismounted Mortar Fire Direction Center (FDC) personnel translate requests for fire to firing data and fire commands by automating the computation and display of accurate firing solutions. The R-PDA-57 itself is based upon a modified non-developmental item (NDI). This device is available under the Armys Common Hardware/Software 3 (CHS-3) program. Tallahassee Technologies Inc is the sole developer of the NDI device and its accessories.

Interested Offerors should provide, at no cost to the Government, a summary of their firms past experience, capabilities, size of business (small or large business), description of facilities, personnel, equipment, tooling, quality control of material and processes, packaging, storage facilities, subcontractors and major vendors, and any other information and areas of expertise that will demonstrate to the Government that they will be able to achieve the effort described herein.
