NASA/KSC plans to issue a Sole Source Request for Quotation (RFQ) with EveretzMicrosystems, LTD., Burlington, ON, for asynchronous serial interface (ASI) multiplexers(muxes) and frame synchronizers. The subject equipment will be used in various facilities(SSPF, Antenna Site, and Press Site) to multiplex in high-definition and standarddefinition digital video into multi-program transport streams for insertion onto digitalBroadband Communication Distribution Systems (BCDS). These items are part of a chassissystem that is currently being used by the digital Broadband Communications DistributionSystem. The proposed Everetz Microsystems ASI multiplexers and frame synchronizers arethe only known items that will be physically and electronically compatible, and functionproperly in these chassis.This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firmsother than the sole source cited shall submit in writing to the identified point ofcontact, their qualifications/capabilities and quotes, providing a description insufficient detail to show that the product offered meets the Government's requirement tothe identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. eastern standard time, July 6,2009 at NASA/Kennedy Space Center, Attn: Donny Wood, OP-OS, Kennedy Space Center FL32899,
