This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement. No solicitation document exists at this time. Requests for a solicitation will receive no response. The GPS Wing User Equipment Group intends to issue a contract for engineering, program management, and related efforts within the scope of developing and testing a smart jammer first article test (FAT) unit. The contract will include efforts, as necessary, to develop solutions for combating various NAVWAR threats. The period of performance for this effort will be approximately 18 to 24 months. The intended source is BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc., 65 Spit Brook Road, Nashua, NH 03061. The GPS Wing has contracted with BAE over the last six years and they possess the required data and prototypes necessary to produce the item described above. BAE Systems, Inc. has the capability to fulfill this contract without the GPS Wing having to expend significant funds on another contractor to reach the equivalent capability.
