The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department Philadelphia intends to acquire, on an other than full and open competitive basis from NETWITNESS ACQUISITION CORP, NETWITNESS PROFESSIONAL SERVER (core network forensics collection & Processing Engine), NETWITNESS CLIENT PACK (serves as a front-end tool to the data processed by the Netwitness Professional Server Product) in support of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to procure the Netwitness Server and Software from Netwitness Acquisition Corp since they are the only known provider of this supply at this time. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 to: Netwitness for procurement of (1) ONE NETWITNESS SERVER and Software Package. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based on the responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this notice.
