This serves as a “Notice of Intent” to issue a purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures to PSSC Labs, Mission Viejo, CA on a Sole Source basis to purchase a PSSC Dual Xenon PowerServe Workstation. Head Node 4U rackmount ATX with 460 watt UL approved power supply, Intel chipset, dual xenon motherboard with Intel 7501 Chipset/ 533 MHz FSB; 6 PCI X slots; Intel Xenon 3.06 GHz Processors/533 MHz FSB with heat sink and fan; 16.0 GB DDR PC2100 ECC registered system memory (2) 146 GB U320 SCSI 10000 RPM Hard Drives in Removable SCA Drive bays and trays; (2) 146 GB U320 SCSI 10000 RMP hard drives in removable trays; shock mounted hard drive enclosure **These are not Hot Swappable Drive Trays; U320 SCSI Controller Adaptec 2200S Dual Channel Raid controller; Firewire PCI adapter; DVD Rom/ CD RW / CD Rom Drive; 3.5” floppy drive 10/100/1000 BaseT gigabit network adapter on motherboard; SVGA Video Adapter on motherboard; 104 key keyboard; Logitech 3 button mouse; rackmount sliding rail; Redhat Linux Latest version configured to your specifications; Warranty; Price includes one year full parts and labor warranty (return to depot). Limited manufacturers warranty up to three years. This system will work with a flying instrumentation program. This hardware must support a rugged aircraft environment, be 100% reliable, completely shock mounted and support 2 CPUs at (at least) 3 GHz; support 16 GB of RAM have a SCSI 320 RAID subsystem; have at least 140 GB of total disk capacity (with removable shock mounted hard drives + 2 spare hard drives); support gigabit Ethernet; support Firewire; run the Linux operating system and have at least 2 free PCI slots to support the associated hardware. This requirement is determined to be available from only one source because of the unique features and proprietary nature of the system. No formal request will be issued for this procurement. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition.
