This is a Market Survey to locate
additional sources for new Air Conditioners, Vertical, Compact, 18,000
Btu/Hr, 208V, 3-Phase, 50/60 Hz, similar to NSN:4120-01-329-1515, Keco Model
F18T-2SA, but using a benign refrigerant not restricted by the Clean Air Act
and the Montreal Protocol.
These Air Conditioners shall be ruggedized for military use and have the
same performance criteria, size, shape, weight, form, fit, function, and
interface as the old R-22 units. This acquisition is for up to 1000 units.
The Army has available the purchase description for the acceptance and
performance criteria of the items as well as the drawing package for the
R-22 18k Vertical units which will be used as reference only. First Article
Testing will be required. Suppliers capable of furnishing this unit must so
indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: RDER-PRA-GD, Building
1200W, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043 via e-mail to
[email protected]. The response must include production lead time,
production capacity by month, surge capacity, number of years part will be
available, ranges for price breaks if applicable or any other information
that could affect the acquisition, supply, and delivery of the parts. The
response should also include documentation such as copy of purchase order if
the supplier was a vendor to the listed source of this unit or a similar
item or a statement from the listed source demonstrating that the supplier
can, in fact, supply the Army with this unit. Successful suppliers may be
required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when
used for the purpose intended by the Army. For more information contact
