The lantern shall have a dual filament Xenon lamp. The body shall be made of a break-resistant resin with a polycarbonate lens and thermoplastic rubber shroud that resists chemicals and corrosion. The lantern shall include two reflectors: a modified spot (stippled for a wide beam) and a laser spot (smooth for a tight collimated beam). A back-up lam p stored within the lantern body shall be furnished. The lantern shall have a dual direction switch capable of being operated by a user wearing thick gloves. The switch shall have a locking feature to prevent accidental activation. The lantern shall includ e a pistol grip/lantern handle that converts to multiple positions. The lantern shall be powered by no more than 8 D alkaline cells. The lantern shall have a tested lumen value of no less than 250 lumens. The burn time shall be no less than 12 hours. The l antern shall be Factory Mutual approved and for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups C and D, temperature class T1 hazardous (classified) locations. The color shall be black.
