The expected solicitation will include the single NSN listed above and will support multiple weapon systems. Although there is only a single approved source for the solicited item, the Government will award to the offeror that provides the best value to the Government based on the most advantageous combination of price and past performance. The solicitation is expected to be unrestricted and to result in a firm fixed price Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) which will include 1-year base and four 1-year options for a total potential 5-year contract term. All responsible sources may provide a capability statement in response to this synopsis. Upon release of the solicitation, all responsible sources may provide a quote. However, interested offerors must demonstrate that they are capable of fulfilling the entire requirement over the 5-year potential contract term to be considered for award. In addition, interested parties must obtain source approval OR provide material from the current approved sources to be considered for award. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or around April 12, 2019 under the solicitation number identified in this pre-solicitation and will close on or around May 13, 2019.
